Sivory, Punta Cana - Our Review
Our Rating:
The catchphrase for this boutique resort is simple elegance. Sivory is a collection of 55 suites offering various degrees of comfort and spectacular views of the ocean. The entire resort, its 3 restaurants and one bar, give an ambience of tranquillity and meditation. Interior design is ultra-modern and minimalist in tones of chocolate, cream, taupe with natural woods accented by wicker, all setting a mood of calm and relaxation.
The high-end open style bathrooms, outside jacuzzi's and cana rooftops of the main entrance fuse outside living with luxury seamlessly. The natural landscaping style is reflective of the resorts philosophy to keep the vegetation as undisturbed as possible in the gardens at Sivory – this might not make for well-coiffured wedding shots, but then, there's always the beach.
In line with the rest of the resort, the Aquarea Spa at Sivory is all about intimate treatments, in harmony with the environment and many of the treatment rooms are open air. With special packages for couples, wedding parties and men, there's bound to be something for everyone in your wedding group.
Sivory also boasts a world class, award winning chef, Denis Jaricot who cooks up a gourmet selection of dishes fusing international favourites with local cuisine. There is also a Sommelier on hand to help you select the finest vintage from their extensive cellar collection of over 8000 wines.
Despite all of the luxury and elegance of Sivory, we found the atmosphere to be a little clinical and a tad official at check-in and check-out times. Apart from this, you certainly feel like your living the high life at Sivory.
