Laughing I recently wanted to plan a small barefoot beach wedding in St. Lucia. I went to Sandels and were in the middle of talking to their wedding coordinator , and I decided to do a search and see what other brides before me had to say....I won't dwell on the not so good reviews on Sandels, but I did find several who couldn't say enough good things about a wedding coardinator and photagrapher(team). I must say it was the greatest thing I could have ever done.
She was promp in communicating with me, answered a dozen or so emails and even offered some good advise. She was adream to work with. If anyone was interested in having a wedding or even vow renewal in St. Lucia, I would very strongly recommend contacting Kari at tropicalislandweddings.com. You will not regret it! Laughing

YES! most definitly!
id want someone who really took my wants and needs into consideration and would regularly give me feed back on whats happening.
If I could have found an affordable planner who was reputable, I would have done it. I think they know good places to book, the vendors to use and have connections with some hotels. For some women, they are highly organized and have been planning in their head this event for quite some time. They know the shops to go to and the vendors and reception halls they'd like to chose. If you are like these women, you may only need a Day of Planner or possibly no planner at all.

The factors that caused me not to book a wedding planner were that the cost for the planner my Mom introduced me to was too high - 2 to 3K. I'm not sure I made the right decision as I had a lot of stress from planning and not many people to help me.

I would look for a wedding planner that has your wedding date available, has a lot of experience, good word of mouth or references and that you like. The wedding planning process does get stressful and it will be more so if you are working with a difficult personality.
