My firm is currently working on our next episode of Wedding Style, a online wedding planning show for brides and grooms. This show is dedicated to the destination wedding and bride. We would really like our content to be relevant to our listeners, so please-- let us know what you would like to know about planning your destination wedding. What ideas and trends would you like to hear about?
Thanks! |

Perhaps the most popular wedding destinations and why? What do these places offer than others don't.
Also, alot of people are on a budget. Maybe you can add some ideas or tips on how to create the best for less. I have seen some nice things online and on TV, but some seem way overpriced. I mean we want to have something similar, but not to expensive. |

|

My suggestion raises an issue that we had with our destination wedding about four years ago. This is no way an advertisement for this company, more of an endorsement as to our experience.
My hubs and I had a hard time trying to plan our destination wedding. Going back and forth between places to have it. We almost lost our minds because the information was not out there much. One weekend we took a search through everything on the internet, pages and message boards. We just dedicated that Saturday to getting this done. I came across a posting on another "knot" message board explaining another bride's experience with a destination wedding company. Reading I felt kindred feelings. She knows what I am going through. I clicked, sent their contact form in and had the best experience in my life. They took care of everything for me. I did not have to worry about talking to the resort, they had pictures of weddings there already, had experiences with weddings and pointed out the good & the bad.
That is something that you should look into offering. We went around locally to travel agents and event companies. The travel agents woudl only do the travel and give me the resort contact information, or the event company would only do the wedding. They did it both. You need to tell your viewers that these people are out there. The company we used, Trips Down The Aisle - Weddings On The Go took great care of us. There was something in their latest newsletter that stated 10 years, so I think that is how long they have been doing it and that they where going to be in an upcoming Bridal Guide magazine.
It would be nice to pass on this information to others that felt the same way as us. I echo the other reply too. Info on all budgets would awesome too.
Like I said before, this is not an advertisement for them, just offering a suggestion and how to contact them. |
