Wedding Planner Help

Anyone have any great wedding planner recomendations?
I am planning to be married in Punta Cana, DR in early 2009.

Hi Jenny,

Congratulations on your engagement! I know your posting is old here but hopefully I can still give you some information to help you plan your destination wedding. As the owner of a destination wedding company that has specialized in them over the past 10 years I have seen some horror stories and pitfalls that I don't want you to get into.

Now since you have more then a year to plan you can truly work on the type of resort and what destination city you are looking. You have four main resort or city areas in Dominican Republic to look at Punta Cana, La Romana, Santa Domingo and Puerto Plata. Each have a different "flavor" for weddings. You have the great beaches of Punta Cana and La Romana, then the colonial side of Santa Domingo and Puerto Plata with their mountainous area.

Ok, so I am partial to this response. I truly feel that contacting a company that can handle both the travel and wedding plans is the best route to take. That way having them work on both options you can sit back and relax. You don't have to worry about what you can do or wonder if you did the right thing. That along with what you truly want is the first hurtle to take care of.
