WEDDING DRESS - What's too much for a beach wedding?

Hi -
Wondering if anyone can provide some advice on whether it is worth wearing a layered dress in hot Jamaican weather in February?
Does anyone have experience with this?

I have seen a few dresses I like, the one I like most is a strapless with layered materials at the bottom - it is not poofy, and does not have a long train, but I'm worried I may get overwhelmed by the heat if I do the wedding on the beach.

Maybe a sunset wedding will help, but any feedback from others on their experiences or that from a wedding you've been to, would be appreciated.

hmm, i think layered is not that bad but make sure it is made up of light materials or something..and sunset wedding is also a nice idea..
