Hi,
My name is Anh and my fiancee Dave and I just got engaged over the holidays. We would like to have our wedding in the tropics and have been focusing on locations along the Mexican Caribbean but are open to having it in on one of the Caribbean Islands as well. I guess my first question is ... When is the best time to get married on the Caribbean? What is considered off peak but not the rainy season?
Thanks in advance for your help!

| My fiance' and I are getting married February 2006 in Montego Bay. We've had some mixed opinions/responses from our family, but we've decided to continue with our Carribean wedding (and are still having a good-sized group join us)! I'm excited, and always looking for new ideas, suggestions. We plan to have a reception when we get back for everyone who couldn't attend, and recently attended a similar reception. This site has been very helpful! |

Hi, my fiance and I are from Ontario, Canada and we are going to be married this December in Cozumel, Mexico. We will have approx 28 people joining us from Canada and the USA and most people in our group are very excited about the prospect of having a destination wedding. For those with the negative attitudes...hopefully that will change when they start drinking those free drinks at the resort!
I think this website has a lot of helpful information and hopefully the forum will start getting more action. I check forums on other wedding/bride websites, but they are lacking with information for destination weddings. Thank you islandbrides for providing this much needed service!

| Hi I'm Nicole from Manitoba, Canada, and my partner Dan and I are planning to marry in March (spring break). It's a second marriage for me, first for him, and my two kids (10 and 7 by March) will be in on the fun. Dan's dream was always to get married on a beach wearing khakis, and I'm more than happy to oblige. We haven't done a DAMNED THING to plan this, though, other than a couple of internet searches. So I'm hopeful that this site will really help!! |

| Hi my name is Julie and my fiancee and I, Nick, have just decided to change our "Regluar" wedding to a DW. We have no idea where we want to go but we want our friends and family to be able to attend so nothing too expensive! The date is not set but sometime in April/May 2006. I have found a lot of info on different locations so I am looking for advice on where to start! |

Honestly I have found my arrangements with the folks in the Turks and Caicos Islands obsolutely stressfree and helpful. i also learnt from a friend that they have the best beaches for weddings. Check out this website.

Hello everyone, my name is Carla and my fiance is Rendell. We both live in Houston, but he was born in St. Croix. He wants an island wedding, I just want to make him happy . We have just started researching Island Getaways so if someone has any referals that would be great. We haven't decided on a exact date, but we know it will be June 2007. So please keep us in your prayers. |

The million dollar question! Rainy season has been pretty unpredicatble the past couple of years. It can last all the way into December so you just never know. But it should be between June- October.
June is popular for weddings but too much rain for my liking in Trinidad & Tobago for a wedding.
April might be a nice time of year. Cheaper too since its off season here. December is still good but try and have tents if its an outdoors wedding - you just never know.
Avoid July!! It's been raining every single day here. Hurricane season I guess. |

Congrats to all the brides
My fiance got engaged over the Christmas holidays, we started to plan for a "traditional" wedding for May 2007, but we decided that this was something that neither of us really wanted...so we cancelled everything and are now planning for a wedding in the Dominican at the Riu Palace Punta Cana in April 2007. Has any one ever been here, our travel agent suggested this place. |
