Island wedding in August

Hello All,

Has anyone done a caribbean or island wedding in August? We have not decided on a destination but since price is a factor we are looking at Jamaica, Bahamas and Mexico. Am I crazy to consider planning a wedding during this time? Has anyone had experience with the heat / weather / other issues? We are thinking very casual so people won't be sweating in suits during the ceremony but I am still concerned.

Please let me know if you have any advice!

Hi! I have the same concerns toward the weather. We are planning our wedding in June 2009 Bahamas Atlantis, but now looking in to the all possibilities to move the date, because I found out that all the affair is outside (ceremony, reception, cocktail hour). Certainly, the price in the summer mouths half cheaper than in January or March but I don’t want my wedding day to be ruined by weather.

I have been thinking of a summer wedding as well, but my main concern is that its Hurricane season. I am really considering to have my wedding after that season is over!
