Formal Wedding Invitations?

Hi all! I need your thoughts/help/advice!

My fiance and I thought one way we could cut down the cost of our destination wedding next August would be to get magnets as our save the dates. We created a wedding website and thought we would just put a note in with the STD's that we will NOT be sending formal invites, and our guests could log in to the site to RSVP. (The website address is on the magnet, along with the date and location) Thus saving us a ton in postage and printing.

What do you think? Are you all sending STD's, Invites and RSVP's?

i think this is a great idea!!! I might just do this myself!!! I am actually thinking about email invitations ha ha!!I just can't be bothered writing/thinking about stationary or is that all part of the fun??
