I am getting married in Cozumel, in 4 months today.......
I am needing some info on what I can add into a Favor beach bag, or just some ideas of what kind of thank you for coming favor I should have ready for the guest when they arrive.
All the guest will by flying from different parts of Canada, Vancouver, all the way to Montreal. Each person will be giving me and my fiance a lot of support and effort in their venture to Cozumel.
If anyone has any creative ideas of what to give to them to say thank you please let me know.
Thanks. |

Some favor ideas:
Sunblock
Fancy bath stuff (pampering stuff)
Candles
Framed photo
Beach towel
Sunglasses, flip flops, sun hat (though hard to know sizes)
Sarongs (for the ladies)
Seashells
CD of your wedding songs or "island" songs
Donation to a charity (this is what we are leaning toward, a donation to preserve the coral reefs around Cozumel or a hurricane relief fund. It doesn't pamper our guests, but they can feel good about it, and no clutter and no transport costs!)
One of the neatest things I heard: A bride wanted to show her guests how much she appreciated their support. She had menu cards made up for each guest, and she wrote a personal note for EACH guest on the back of their card, thanking them, sharing a favorite anecdote, etc. The room was in tears as everyone read their cards. It sounded really nice. I heard this from a podcast, I think it was this one below...

I hope that helps!
I noticed you are doing your wedding in Cozumel. If you have a moment, could you share some info? Where are you doing it? Have you heard good or bad things about other venus? You can PM me or reply to my post if you want, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! |

| I am currently working on putting together wedding guests for all of my guests who are travelling to Playa del Carmen for my wedding. I am getting beach bags personalized with their initials and putting beach towels, flip flops, personalized water bottles, flip flop froms, a CD of our favorite songs, flip flop playing cards, and after sun lotion. I have found pretty good deals on all of these items so if you need more info, let me know. Good luck! |

We stocked up at www.minimus.biz - immodium, aspirin, sunscreen, blistex, etc. awesome awesome website!
We also picked up some super cheesy, but super cute maraca pens (they say fiesta! on them - too cute and everyone can use a pen!)
We have some brochures for local attractions, a welcome letter to everyone, and while we're down in Mexico we'll be picking up some more stuff to save on luggage space.
We have around 50 people coming to our wedding so I'd love to be able to do things like flip flops and playing cards but it's just too much! |

| Hilary 04 where did you find good deals on those things. It sounds like exactly the kind of stuff we would be using but I honestly have no idea where to look for this stuff. I live in Canada too so i'm finding it hard because all the websites I find only ship to the U.S. |

I got them all on websites. We are having a flip flop theme so most everything I have ordered is flip flops. I bought the flip flop frames on www.mybeachfavors.com and I bought flip flop playing cards at www.life-favors.com. I found really cute beach bags at Target (not sure if you have them) but I had to drive to 9 different ones to get the 26 bags that I needed. Another great website is www.centurynovelty.com....I got flip flop keychains and bubbles from here for really cheap. I am also going to order personalized water labels from www.bottleyourbrand.com and wait until we get to Mexico to buy the water to put them on.
I hope this helps!
Where are you getting married and when?? |

Ya I think alot of those websites are only for U.S. I don't get why companies can't ship to Canada as well. So annoying. Oh well, I actually found that amazon.com has TONS of stuff. So hopefully i'll be able to buy them on there.
We're getting married in the Mexico in May2007. Getting excited! But I feel like I still have so much to do! |

Wanted to add a few things...
Luggage tags
Inflatable beach balls
Lens cleaner towlettes
Also, www.alltravelsizes.com is another great place to get goodies for welcome kits and your general travel needs. |
